Walk and Talk: Ozark Native Plants Identification Hike

Join the Vice President of the Arkansas Native Plant Society, Eric Fuselier, for a short hike to learn how to identify native plants of the Ozarks.

For more than a decade, Eric Fuselier has been studying the native plants growing wild in the Ozarks. Eric’s passion began on the trail as an avid hiker and backpacker, but eventually, Eric was able to put his knowledge of native plants to use in a more professional capacity while working as an environmental scientist for a local civil engineering firm. Eric is currently serving as the Vice President of the Arkansas Native Plant Society, and as the president of the Arkansas Native Plant Society’s Ozark Chapter.

The hike will begin at the parking lot of the Lake Fayetteville Environmental Study Center and continue down the nature trail along Lake Fayetteville. This location is at 511 E Lakeview Drive. Please wear proper walking shoes and bring water.

Registration is required and will begin May 15th.
