      Feeding a Hungry Planet: How a changing environment is affecting farmers in Asia and the USA at Delaware Museum of Natural History

      Department of Geography and Spatial Sciences Professor Pinki Mondal presents the March lecture in World of Discovery, the College of Earth, Ocean and Environment's lecture series in partnership with the Delaware Museum of Natural History.

      Dr. Mondal uses satellite images to examine how the changing environment is affecting global food production and farmer livelihood. Her research focuses on diverse farmlands in India, Vietnam, and the USA where farmers are facing challenges such as erratic rainfall, increasing temperature, and saltwater intrusion. In her talk, Dr. Mondal will share how she uses a variety of scientific methods to understand current and future challenges for global food production.
