      If your role and responsibilities require a sound knowledge of zoning, you will benefit from this interactive, case-study-based workshop now conveniently being held in Oakland County.

      You will:

      Receive insight on the issues of practical difficulty and unnecessary hardship
      Get updated on recent case law
      Review voting, membership and other procedural requirements unique to Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) operations

      The information will be valuable to new or experienced ZBA members, elected and appointed officials and zoning administrators and staff. All MAP instructors are certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.       Instructor

      Brad Strader, AICP, PTP Principle, MKSK, Detroit
      Strader is a principle at MKSK, a landscape architecture, urban design and planning firm. He has national experience with complete streets transportation and transit planning, parking strategies, comprehensive planning, zoning, and form-based code. He is a frequent lecturer on planning, zoning, and transportation topics at state, regional, and national conferences and training webinars. Strader has presented at several national seminars on innovative linkages between land use and transportation for the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the American Institute of Certified Planners. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers where he serves on the national ITE Transportation Planning Council’s Executive Committee and the ITE Smart Community Task Force.
